I have been commissioned to design and produce a campaign to support a new record release by a music artist. The release will be multi-format and require product packaging and appropriate accompanying advertising materials to promote it to the public.
The PDF document you submit will be no more than 30 pages in length and must include, in this order:
1. Conceptual & Development Work
A section that outlines the research and creative experimentation you have undertaken to develop your concept. This could range from research into fonts, colour schemes, layouts and graphic styles to early design sketches, visual experiments, photography or other forms of visual research. It may include design ideas that were not chosen in the end.
2. Finalised Product Designs
You should provide finalised designs for the actual release. These could extend to physical packaging (CD/DVD/Vinyl etc..) and digital (re-designs for digital stores and smart-phones) but would usually consist of disc packaging design, disc artwork, etc..
3. Promotional Campaign
This section should contain a number of visual designs that advertise your new release to audiences. These materials can range across any static graphic material of your choice - posters, online marketing material, print advertisements, promotion brochures, flyers, stickers, customised social media pages (vevo, myspace, facebook twitter, tumbler etc) merchandise etc... You should provide accompanying conceptual mock-ups of your visual identity in action.
